It has always crossed my mind the number of kids I would like to have some day. Could there really be too many? Do you have as many as you planned to have?
When it comes to larger families, I could imagine how it would be to have family dinners, parties, and events. What may be a benefit for some people is that they may never feel lonely. There would always be someone to hang out with whether its a ride to the grocery store, cleaning, or even getting ready for a family dinner. I could easily picture how exciting sporting events can get if there was someone in the family playing.
What the best joke may be is how having more kids lowers the opportunity for at least one child turning out okay. Of course not everyone is perfect, however we all have the one who gets the best grades in school or has goals set for their future. If you get lucky at least one of them will be successful enough to get rich!
On the other side of things, a big family can be very expensive. Food, clothing, toys, college tuition, and cars are all things that we all need or would like to pursue towards a happy lifestyle. It could even help having other siblings share or rely on one for extra food or used clothing. On the flip side it would a lot more difficult to enjoy your private time. I know at times I want to be alone and not having a breather for myself could sometimes overwhelm me.
Coming from a smaller family, I tend to have a lot of free time. The amount of attention distributed with one another is a lot easier than having multiple children to worry about. This has allowed my parents to become slightly overprotective. Although there is a lot more money being saved, I feel there is no right or wrong answer on whether its best to have a bigger or smaller family. Depending on what a couple decides what would be best for them and their future children.
